2001 Dodge Tranny PROBLEM!! (no reverse)

Hey guys, a dodge newbie here. I have a 2001 4X4 1500. The other day, reverse just went completely out. Drive seems o, tho i only drove it about 5 miles. When ever you start it up, and shift into reverse, you can feel the gear kick in, but when you hit the throttle it just revs up. not quite like it is in neutral cause the motor sounds a little different, but like it just wont pull it self. Any tips?? I am TERRIBLE at trannys!!!

Sounds like your band is not grabbing to me. Is the fluid level good?

Yup fluid level is exactly where needs to be. And yes before it gets asked, it was warm and in neutral. Can the band be tightened up???

yes, if it is the bands causing the problem then they can all be tightened.

Welcome to Dodge Talk!

You probably broke the low and Rev band ,rear servo piston or the snap ring in the OD section.
