on my 2002 Ram 1500... on top of my gas tank, there is wet moist dirt/gunk.. coming from the fuel pump on/in the top of the tank...i know the leak is coming from there becuase thats where its wet, not from the cap...... my check engine light is on as well....
from autozone, i ordered a fuel pump gasket kit and it doesnt seem like this is the right part...ill try to get some photos of the leak, its a hard shot to see...

if anyone could give advise that would be great.

Your going to drop the tank cause you have to pull the pump out. I would double check to make sure its not a line coming off the pump, it might save you a lot of work.
