![]() My dad and I started Bruning Auto Design a year ago. My dad worked for a large street rod builder in Portland for about a decade. The time came to do our own thing. My dad's first car in high school was a '70 Challenger, which he didn't keep of course, so 32 years later he sold his 34' Ford project and bought a slant 6 Challenger out of some guys back yard, about 10 sticks of 1.5" .120 wall DOM tubing, Corvette front and rear suspension, and rear six speed transaxle and also a crate 6.1L HEMI |

Oops! hit the reply button...
![]() Tim (my dad) worked on a lot of high end projects (google RealMad & NewMad) and started working with C5 stuff not long after the car hit the streets. So, lot of ideas saved up over the years, with the goal of building the ultimate driver. Too many years spent working on trailer queens that end up in someone's garage with less than 200 miles on the odometer. In addition to E Tikit build, we also have a couple other MOPAR projects in the shops (in the gallery section of our website). A bad '71 Demon with a 6.1 HEMI swap, manumatic paddle shift trans, tri-4 link in the rear, alter-k up front, etc. We tweaked the front suspension a bit by moving it up into the frame rails 2" (along with the engine). We also modified the front sub rails, inner fenders, etc to achieve a nice low ride height (no airbags). Similar concept as the Challenger (which will make more sense once I post pictures of our chassis). |

Also picked up a 70 Barracuda on the way home from SEMA that needs metal work. Long story short, we will be redoing a lot of things - inner fenders, spoiler, firewall, etc. |

Not using the factory Corvette torque tube. The adapter & carrier bearing will make it possible to use a slip yoke driveshaft instead.
Hopefully the pics will make more sense. ![]() ![]() ![]() Can't wait to see it with baer brakes..... ![]() |
