was curious if the 03 hemis get any worse fuel economy. I know that the 03's do not have EGR valves, what else changed to increase fuel economy?

crapola.... i hate being reminded of my poor fuel economy..

i do mostly in town trips less than 5 miles per distance, and its all stop signs and lights.... I'm averaging 11mpg, yes 11..... and this is with a superchips tune......now that i say it a few times 11, 11, 11, 11, 11 makes me wanna go stand in traffic, my luck i'd get run over by a hybrid sierra..

11.
11
11
11
11 grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr i'm mad now

my 03 averages 11 if I stay off of it.

I found a way to increase my gas mileage. I found if I stay 55 mph on the freeway in the slow lane, I can get up to 23 mpg's...go 65+ and it drops WAY WAY DOWN.

I found if I push mine downhill that mileage really goes up!

My in-town driving is all five minute, heavy stop sign/light stuff. Mileage sucks.

On the freeway I can do OK by keeping it between 55 and 60.

I'm averaging about 13.5 on the 91 Performance Tune if I stay out of it. The vast majority of my driving is in-town.

I have talked to several people about the economy of a 2003 versus an 04 or 05. Everyone I have talked to has said they haven't seen much more than what I get out of an 03 Hemi. I'm not ready to give up and take that for truth, but I don't have the time to look into it too much.

Just for shits and giggles, check on your evap/canister under your trucks. I was under doing my oil change and noticed the large evap hose was disconnected from the canister. Since hooking it back up my mileage went up 30%. My dte at fillup usually stated 355, now I've been seeing 450 on my past 2 fill ups, since reconnecting it.

It's not a very tight fit.

I average about 12 to 13 most of the time with mine. It only drops to about 10 or 11 when I dont stay out of it. Although some of that could be the manual tranny.

I get around 12 in the city and roughly....17 on highway but I drive pretty hard cuz i like to hear my exhaust and I hate driving under 70 on the highway so you'll get better if you are 65 or under

interesting will do. I did get some evap codes I think p0441 or 440. It was the code that is not the least major of the two. I already replaced one of the hoses on the evap, and used zip ties on both ends to make sure it was tight on the canister.

i have an 03' hemi and i get about 17mpg in town and 20-22mpg on hwy at 65mph, i had to tune it properly as the factory did not, a vehicle always comes from the factory not tuned perfectly-its good but not perfect, my timing was a little off from the factory as some other things were not set right

i have a 2004 and whenever i let my mpg on the computer average out over a couple weeks it always ends up around 13.5. for u people who get 11 are you constantly reseting it or do you let it average out? 13.5 isnt bad in my eyes. i have a cold air intake (ramhammer, powerwire and custom exhaust)

How did you change the timing? Did you do it with different programing or did you move the sensor?
