Right here. And yes it will affect your shift points. A little adjustment goes a long way, in other words...less is more when adjusting the TV cable.

I adjusted my TV cable a while back but it never effected THOSE points! Beans and jalapenos usually do that.

Just given you crap, man. And what Wirenutt said is correct, less is more. The clip that holds the adjustment in place is grooved. Try moving the cable one 'click' at a time and then go for a drive. A small tightening of the cable (moving the adjustment towards the firewall) from the stock setting, will make for later, firmer shifts but is actually beneficial for the life of the transmission. Firmer shifts=longer lasting tranny.

Heck if I'm going real slow, it shifts at 1200 into 2nd, and 1200 into 3rd, and about 1500 OD.

And make sure it isn't too cold when messing with that clip, it could snap off like mine did.

I yanked mine out a good bit to help that little 318 with the 3.55's to accelerate better without putting my foot in it more. Shifts about 2,200 babying it, 2500 normal accel, 3,000 if i take off with a little more boot. You wouldnt believe how much better the truck takes off requiring less throttle when you do this. Just be aware of the 2-3rd gear hunt the truck will do sometimes if you adjust yours to the extent i did.

It will upshift to 3rd, then downshift to 2nd, then upshift to 3rd again all with no change in throttle. This is while you're accelerating though, not cruising with the OD off or anything.
