transmission problem

I have a 1991 caravan only in the summer I can only go maybe 20 miles before the transmission acts up it sticks in 1st gear. also when its hot it wont go in reverse. If I let it set for maybe an hour it's like nothing ever happened it runs fine ,until it gets hot again. the minute the winter comes I can drive anywhere no problem summertime forget it. Any help or advice would be appreciated.

Hey.
Check out my post here. http://www.dodgetalk.com/forums/show...&threadid=1893 Sounds like it is going into fail safe mode. Just stop and turn off the van and restart. That will reset the computer. I had to have a 300 buck module replaced on mine to get it to shift
