Timer and Alarm Module

I have a problem with my 2001 QC. When the low fuel light comes on, the ding is weak and the headlights flick.

After reading and searching I see that it seems to be a bad Timer and Alarm Module, so I call my Dodge dealer. He gave me a part number of 5114190AA with a list of $262. I pulled the module out to look at it and it says part number 56045452AF with a list of like $192.

What gives?? Anybody know the diff?

Yup, the second part #56045452AF, was the original part, then they replaced it with the new part number, 5114190AA. There have been 5 upgrades to the unit, so that is why you are getting 2 part numbers.

probably not, but they charge more for it so the consumer thinks it does. Save your dough and dont let it get below a qtr tank. lol

That was my initial plan, but it is really getting irritating. It does it when you first start the truck, when you open the door....

I am thinking that a trip to the junk yard may be the most economical bet.

After calling around and having no luck, I bought the part online for $180. Better than the $260 I started at, but still a bit much.

At least it's fixed.
