Why in the heck would Dodge put in champs? Well i put in Autolite Platinums so i should be good for a while, woke her right up. Well when i pulled the intake off today the oil dipstick tube was broke in half at the bracket that mounts to the engine. I JB welded it back together, but i was wondering if this has happened to anyone here? Also How hard it is to replace in a 2004 Durango with 4.7? Thanks for the help in advance. and the plug change took about an hour total. only one plug was a bit of a pain to get too but not too bad in the end.

yeah but how does it go into the block. Does it just slide in or is it pressed. my bronco it just slides in and is held by the bracket. for now it is JB welded so it is good to go....for now

It just slides in then the fluted part makes it tight!
I very new to the forum the experts will tell the real deal on your post!

I'm not sure if the JB Weld could hold up to the engine heat or maybe you will lose some pressure from the vacum of the dip stick not inserted properly I had a BMW and left the dip stick out and would cause my engine to rough idle when I came to a stop luckily I had a honest mechanic who told that Bosh system would do this if the dip stick was not seated propery
