2005 Dodge 3500 SLT Cummins 6-sp

I am still beating my head against a wall trying to figure out why the brake lights won't turn off.

Replaced the brake switch (on the pedal).
Replaced the fuse box and the front control module.
Disconnected the trailer wiring.

Does anyone have any idea what else might be causing the rear brake lights to stay on?

The standards have a switch on the clutch and a switch on the brake pedal. I hear they look very similar and its easy to get them confused. I'm guessing you replaced the right switch, but just wanted to make sure. You might have a short somewhere in the wiring. Do you also have a trailer brake controller? I read that you disconnected the trailer wiring but wasn't too sure on what you meant by this.

ok to test to see if its a clearance issue with the switch or not, locate the switch on your brake pedal and get someone or something to either depress the brake light switch or sandwhich something inbetween the brake light switch and the actually brake pedal. Then check to see if they have turned off. You might need a brake light switch stopper. Your brake light switch might not be getting depressed far enough to turn off the brake lights for some reason. I'm still putting money on your problem being the switch. You might have bought a lemon switch even, its possible.

Actually, I don't think our switches are adjustable. Willibone--with you moving the pedal causing it them to go out, I'd start right there. Maybe the plunger is sticking or the connector is loose?
