I am going to be selling my 1996 Intense Blue 2.0L SOHC ATX Dodge Neon soon and I was wondering what you think is a good price....
It has 49,400 miles on it (I want to sell it during summer with about 50,500 miles on it) and had a new transmission put in @ 47,000 miles (NOV 2001)(Transmission has 3 year 36,000 mile warenty). It has a small dent in the rear bumper(was there when I bought it) and a few black scrapes on front bumper, I bought 99 Stock Alloy rims for it (I am also giving the orginal steel wheels with 70% tred with it.) It has a Air Ram Tech Cold Air Intake, a turbo muffler, Had new spark plugs, wires, and Oil filter(oil change) @ 47,000 miles. SMALL THINGS: It has a rubber anttena, a few small spots where protective gloss has chipped off(the paint is still on these spots, they are just not glossy), Also a 1 inch piece of the plastic front of the ash tray is missing. I used STP Fuel Treatment once a month since I bought this car. It is very basic it DOES NOT HAVE Power Windows or Power Door Locks or Curse Control. It is a two door coupe. It has a pionner CD Player! I paid $5,500 last October(not counting New Transmission $2,500) I was hoping to sell it for $6,750......What do you think? PICTURES OF IT IN THE GALERY!!!!! Thanks alot! 99Laramie is right, kid.... There is a reason we say vehicles are a money pit -- it's because they are. You lose money on them and there is nothing you can ever do to get your money back out of it (unless you find a sucker willing to spend too much for a car... then its all good!) My wife and I just bought a Neon for her-- its a 97 with 60,000 on it. Same as yours, 2 door, not many options, new paint (from a fender bender) and a new head gasket (common for 1st gen neons to blow early) and we paid 4150 out the door for it, thats a fair market value... looks like you've kept it in great shape though... 6k OBO seems like a good price to plant on the window, see what anyone says to ya, but I wouldn't expect that much.. Good luck with her!

well, no offense but IMO you are very high. I just bought a 98 5spd no options at all (besides power steering) 2 dr with a 130k on it. I paid 1k for it (I'm a car dealer though).
I am selling my personal neon (had it for 7 months) because I want to mod my dak r/t and the neon has to make way. i have the neon down to a 15.2 with drag radials. I am probably selling it for around 2500 with mods or 2k without. It is a 95 4dr, power steering, a/c, 5spd. I have an iceman, mopar PCM, MPx UDP, header back exhaust. I wont be selling the drag radials with it though, and it has the sport wheels (not the ones you have on yours). I may change my mind and not sell it though, I want to see what I can get it down to first (I think I can hit 14.9 once the drag radials burn off their first coating and start hookin.)

I tried selling it on ebay for $4,600 and no one bid on it, so I guess I am keeping it!

Mopar2you how do the aluminium Edelbrock heads work on the 440? I'm starting to build a 501 stroker and want to use those heads, everything I read is good but real life is always different.
Thanks durango. |
