I'm going to be getting my first Neon soon and I plan on doing so mods to it but I'm new to that also and not quite sure I got everything down. I have a list of what I want to do and of the parts; I just want to make sure I'm not forgetting anything, doing something I don't need to be doing, or not using the best parts for it. So if anybody would be willing to double check my wish list and give me some input I'd be very greatfull. You can reach me on e-mail at NeonSXTGirl@aol.com, AIM at ChrstneNcole or Yahoo Instant Messanger Mopargrl82. Thanks everyone!!!

1st mod most people do to a neon is Cold Air Intake, great starting mod. After that I'd look into an exhaust, the stock exhaust is good enough but I wanted sound. After that I'd maximize your air intake/exhaust to get the air flowing through really well. I'm not saying my choice may be the best but its just a suggestion.

I went for Alloy Rims First (Because mine was a 96 And I hate Hubcaps!) Then I upgraded my Ignition wires and spark plugs. Then I got a turbo muffler and I just recieved My Cold Air Intake( which does not fit because It was meant for a SOHC Manual not a SOHC Auto), I also made so me apperance Mods like a Rubber Antena(short) and a sport shifter knob(YES for an automatic!) But I think thats all I'll do because I am gona sell it in a few Months and buy a Miata!
Later,
Scott

I would strongly suggest when upgrading your performance you use Mopar Performance Parts. You will get the most HP overall (The Mopar Difference). I would start with Ignition wires then Cold Air Intake, Stainless Steel Catback and the Performance computer. Then the Under Drive Pully, Headers and however crazy you want to get. Have fun! Don't forget the suspension mods as well.

This Q is directed to MOPAR1...Regarding the Mopar Perf Parts..seems the catalog leaves out most toys for us 01 and 02s. I tried to purchase Springs and such today...2 diff dealers (incl. Holler) said they have never heard of Perf springs for a Neon...and it's not listed in the Perf catalog. What gives?! Guess I will be resorting back to Eibachs!

The new 2002 Mopar Performance Catalog lists springs for the 2000-01 models: P5007387 - ACR/RT front 150 lbs/in and P5007388 - ACR/RT rear 120 lbs/in. You can only get the parts from a participating Dodge dealer. Most are not, or over the internet. I can get you a list of the best over the internet if you need.

Thanks Mopar1. That is what the dealers told me also. They are just the stock ACR/RT springs. I was looking to bring it down about an inch as well. Thanks again!
