Im keeping my eyes open for an OD tranny, preferably a 518. Saw this one at the wrecker and couldnt identify it. It was in a 92 B250 and had 055-2 cast into the bell housing.

AP,
Thanks! That's a keeper. Nice to see that we've both owned Plymonuth Dusters. Stev

There may be a sticker on the underside of the hood that will tell you what transmission it is. It's an equipment list.
From what I can see, it's just an A904 (or 36RH) 3spd. But I could be wrong.

After looking at those tranny diagrams, that definetly does not look like a 518. I will have to keep my eyes open for another one. The wrecker used to have lots of Vans, but they are getting scarce.
The overdrive tranny document that AP posted would be good to stick in a Dodge Van FAQ. I know there is the "Generations and Body Style Changes" thread, but maybe there should be a general FAQ too. |
