are you trying to take the big nut off just to take the rotors off? you do not have to take that big nut off just to get the rotors off. Good luck

The big nut size is 1 11/16ths. Maybe you bought a reject socket. Ive worked an many years Rams and all have had 1 11/16th socket. Is the socket a 6 point or 12 point?
JMW, he has to pull the nut off to pull the rotor. The 94 to 99 2500/3500 do not have slip on rotors like the 1500's do. The rotors bolts BEHIND the hub.

MSU Ram, you will have to pull the entire hub assembly off, knock out the studs, put the new rotor on and pull the studs back in. Good luck getting the hub off. They sieze to the knuckle because Dodge didnt use any anti sieze. Got to loosen up the 4 bolts behind the hub about an inch, put a socket and extension on and get a BFH and start hitting the socket. Rotote which bolt you hit. After an hour of hard beating with the hammer, the hub may start to move. Make sure to put antisieze on the knuckle/hub so it will come off easy the next time.
As for plugs for the V10, Ive had good luck with the bocsh platnums

Socket Size

THE CORECT SOCKET SIZE IS 1 11/16 six point, but acording to dodge&tinken the bearing company the splines are to be dri to optain the proper torque, your best bet is to buy the dodge repair manual this can be purched at the dealer or calling the number in the back of your owners manual to do the job properly.
