Hi all. I read back a few pages and relized that the sliding side door is not perferred. What kind of problems can I expect to see? I am considering a 'gull wing' conversion, has anyone done this?? I would also think about the same for the rear single door. Any help appreciated.....Brad

I don't like the sliders. To me they've always been a pain to close, a pain to open and when something breaks in them, they're a pain to fix. Pain pain pain.

The only positive I can see with a slider door is if you had limited room all the time to open the door to get things out.

Other than that I like my "barn" doors.

I hear you, but when a good used van comes along, for less then a 'grand', I'm not overly fussy....

I had the handle break on mine ... but it wasn't too terribly hard to fix

I got the barn doors and hate parking lots! No room to open the side barn doors! Getting six children in and out with strollers is a pain pain pain too.
