I did a quick search for front end alignment specs and came up empty handed. Does anyone know what the alignment specs are for a 2000 Dodge Durango 4x4 with 4.7L? It is the SLT plus.
Ever since replacing all the balljoints and tie rods (with Moog parts if it matters), I can't seem to get my D to pull straight. I tried tire rotations, air pressure, greased the new ball joints, even cheating the tie rod a bit which helped but not totally, and my Durango still drifts to the left--definitely noticeable at high speeds and even after turning in the driver's side tie rod one full turn to cheat, which helped somewhat but threw off steering wheel center. I had it to an alignment shop twice and am going to try a third soon, but I want to have the actual Dodge recommended specs before I do.
My D has never been in an accident and I've wheeled it very little. My torsion bar adjustment was done way before any of this and it never pulled at all (except straight). My Urethane sway bar bushings have nothing to do with it, so I'm at a loss. Any Suggestions? Specs? Help? All would be appreciated!
Thanks ,
Soykes

I had a similar experience following an accident. The alignment shop was finally able to get the left pull out of my Durango after 3 tries. This is just a function of trial and error. The alignment shop claimed that the final alignment was on the outside edge of the factory specs, but it is within spec and has tracked straight for over 2 years now.

Where did you get the urethane sway bushings? Are they better than stock?

any chance you've got a broken belt in left front tire? try swapping side-to-side in front, if it starts pulling right then take a good look at replacing one (or both) front tires.

yep, a bad tire can influence this problem too.

Hey Guys,
Thanks for the info. I got my Urethane Bushings from www.eshocks.com. They are better than stock, but you have to torque them properly to specs or you will experience the popping sound especially when making turns. I only replaced the stock rubber ones because of the constant noise they made going over speed bumps, etc.. even after lubing them. As for the tires, I've rotated them, I put my 17" F1s back on, nothing has helped. I was hoping someone had the factory recommended specs for the alignment so I could take them to another shop and see what the comparison would be.

hmm, can you read that? My monitor might be fuzzy. I can enlarge that picture, but I am not sure if it will be any better.

Yeah I got it, and it printed out fine. I also got a listing from a friend that shows the full range of specs, which also included the preferred that you sent. Both were the same. The range does have some variation to it which shows there is room to play and still be with in the Dodge specs. I'm going to have to see what works for me.
Thanks Again,
Soykes

I really couldn't honestly answer your question on that. I'm sure someone else here could help you. I would think it would be different though.
