Question Life Expectancy on this model??

Hi All, I am curous as to what is the life of these vehicles as far as milage? I have seen some 99,00 and 02 models anywhere from 80K to 115K stated as low miles.
I have found two 99's with about 100K on them and a 00 and 02 with about 80K on them and I want to know if they will last a 100K more.
What is the average milage on these before a engine replacement is needed?
Do these really last over 200K as Iam led to believe by dealers in my area?
I was also loooking at the possibility of saving enough money by paying a low enough amount that I would have the $ to replace the engine when needed and still end up paying less then the amount I would of on a lower mileage one.
IE I found a 1999 for $3500, the paint and interior are flaweless, the only thing I found is that it has over 110K.
I am hoping I can figure out approx how much mileage is left on average before I need to dump a pretty good size of $$ into it?
I always though that 100K was considered to be High Mileage I was shocked to see it listed as low mileage..
Is there something I havent realized that is allowing vehicles to have over 100K and still be able to go another 100 or 150k before the engines muct be replaced??

Most vehicles will last well over 200k. 100k is not high mileage. I have 175k on my 99.

The last thing I'd worry about you having to put money into, is the engine. Keep up with the scheduled maintenance plan in the owners manual and it'll outlast the frame, or at least it will if you live in Canada. Running synthetic fluids can also maximize component life.

Buying a G1 Durango now, the biggest expense is a new set of tires.

The only thing to keep in mind when buying (any) vehicle used, is if the selling person or dealer cannot produce previous maintenance records, make sure the seller knocks a few hundred bucks off the price to account for you having to change the fluids. Yes, change the fluids!!! In particular the axles, transfer case and transmission (adjust bands as necessary too). If you can find a vehicle that's been properly maintained and is still a decent price for what you get, then that'd be the one to buy.

Sweet, this one I was looking at has 85K was garaged, used as a secondary vehicle and has all the maintenance records plus has brand new tires on it.
I was told by my Girlfriend that she read these only get 10 MPG in town and 16 on Highway.
Is that correct I had read where people had gotten 18 MPG in town and in the 20's highway and was impressed that they had gotten alot better MPG then what is posted and this was from 4 or 5 different reviews I had read.
This is now the biggest concern as gas prices have went crazy lately and no matter what quality vehicle I get wont do me any good is I cant afford to put gas in it.

10/16mpg is about right. Your mileage may vary.

With my R/T i can manage 18-19mpg on the 55mph highways not using cruise control. At 65-70mph, 14-16mpg is about it. Winter driving and idling you might even get less than 10mpg around town. I think the EPA city rating is 11 or 12 depending on engine.
