I thought I posted this thread but it seemed to dissapear
My '84 D100 w 318 + sdp + OD manual transmission was running like a SOS
big flat spot off the idle
low power
hesitation and spitting back through the carb
big flat spot when opening the throttle to accelerate
an hour spent installing a new fuel pump and the beast is driveable again.
the old pump appear to be fine; it pumped gas and none was leaking into the crankcase
but I guess it was old and tired and was not putting through enough volume and/or pressure
the old girl is fun to drive again; I used to dread taking it out
for a 24 year old truck with goodness knows how many 100,000's of kilometers on the clock she runns pretty good
