Oh yes I agree with the gears and they are on my list I just need a new clutch atm and was told to just go ahead and upgrade now while I'm into it. My cousin had mentioned spec clutches said I can get a stage 2 for about 370 that's the whole clutch kit. Just trying to see if it will benefit me upgrading or not
True, but don't go too aggressive on a clutch for a daily driver. Had a SB Con FE clutch in my 2G 12v (installed by previous owner), and it was the most frustrating, chattery clutch ever...especially on a work truck that carried heavy loads. The truck is 5x better to drive since installing a new Luk Gold clutch instead
yeah I don't want one to stiff especially sincey wifeel drives it sometimes think I'm gonna give spec clutch a shot come tax time and go with their stage 2
I have 33s on 20" wheels on my '04 4.7 truck, which are probably as heavy as 35s on a 17" wheel. I went with a Luk Gold replacement clutch last year. No issues, and I've towed stuff, etc with 3.55 gears.
Nice yeah I have 18x10 moto metal rims on mine think I'm going to go with spec stage 2 clutch
