When the weather is nice, it's bright and sunny.. driving through the desert is a special thing for sure. At least for me. It pretty much puts me in my happy place and I just take in the views...
One of my fondest memories was right after a light snow during the night. Early the next morning, we went out into the desert area east of town where the sand is red. With the snow covering some areas, the sand was a dark moron red because it was wet, low clouds everywhere, and you could see the snow covered mountains all around the city.... it was beyond beautiful.
My wife has been trying to get me to move somewhere with 4 seasons and 'green'.. but I know from many people on here, and friends that I have had move.. only come back.
It's beautiful all across this nation. But I'd miss the desert too much!
You have to get out and enjoy it (when you can) and take it in.
I have so many beautiful shots that you can only get in a offroad vehicle.
Srcrew you hybrids.
