I had the dipstick rust solid in the tube and the handle break off trying to get it out. I ordered new parts. The left motor mount is mounted on a flat area on the block with four bolts. There is a channel in the flat area, on the block, where the dipstick tube is entrapped between the block and the mount. To make matters worse, the tube has a single bolt mounting tab that is almost under the motor mount. The motor mount has to come out. The four bolts have to come out but what confuses me is every picture I have found shows the insulator attached to the bracket on the truck frame with a single bolt. I have two bolts, next to each other, running front to back through the insulator. Do I pull them or unbolt the bracket from the frame? I cannot find this two bolt arrangement anywhere and I hesitate to pull it apart. Motor mounts are expensive and this one has to go back in.
