Hey everyone. So lets start off right. You obviously don't buy a dodge charger rt for the gas mileage, but I was just wondering what you guys are seeing in them. I am considering purchasing an 06 to '10 rt. I am commuting to school so I need decent gas mileage. Please let me know what you guys are getting, year, engine size, and percentage of highway and city. Oh also, awd or rwd. Thanks!
P.S. I was considering an avenger (2011+) but need awd to commute with.
Mine is a 2012 R/T Road & Track (RWD) and I got 28+ cruising home from the dealership the day I got it. After a couple months, the average settled in to between 19 and 22 depending on how much highway driving I'm doing.
Here is the deal... I have got a charger RT v8 5.7 rwd 2010 and It more than fine with me...it takes 390miles + with the full tank on highways and around 360miles + inside the city.
This is the average I alaways get with some kickdowns too .
Ofcourse keeping the pedal welded to the floor all the time would swallow more gas "normal".
