Hello. The A/C on my truck stopped working. I added the freon and it work again. A few weeks after, it stopped working again. I put the gauge on low pressure side and it read at the same spot when i filled it. When i turn the A/C on "High or low" the clutch engages but only for a second or two then stops. It will continue to do this as long as the A/C is on. All the while blowing hot air. Can someone help me figure this out. Plz plz plz
Witch is what psi? You should have put on a gauge set so you can see what the low and high side are doing. How much refrigerant did you put in? You can put to much and that may trigger the high side pressure switch.
The gauge i was using is provided with the r134a that i purchased. Not the best of gauges. I cant get an actual read because it changes when the clutch engages.
There is 2 different pressures high side and low side high side is you discharge side and suction is your low side. If you can get a set of gauges it would help you more
When the compressor is not running that is your stand pressure. Running pressures are what you want to read. It may be over charged won't know unless you look at your discharge pressure
