When I turn off this 2002 Grand Caravan Sport and then open the drivers side door all the door do not unlock, it says in the owners manual this is controlled by the "overhead console, consumer programmable options."

1. I can't find this in the manual, and I have looked at EVeRY page
2. Does this option actually exist on the Caravan?

Anybody know anything about this, what do your's do when you turn off the car and then open the drivers side door first?

this was a topic of great discussion on another forum.

I have a 2002 Chrysler 300M and in the manual it states in order to enable the auto unlock one must first have the auto lock enabled.

The manual states that with the overhead console you just program it. Without the overhead console my 300's manual states to do the following.

One must have the auto LOCK enabled by:

- Close all doors
- Put key in ignition
- cycle the key to on/off FOUR times ending in the off position
- within 10 seconds depress down (LOCK) the power lock button
- you have now enabled the auto lock withOUT the EVIC

Now to enable the auto unlock on exit feature I would follow the same logic meaning

- Close all doors
- Put key in ignition
- cycle the key to on/off FOUR times ending in the off position
- within 10 seconds depress UP (i.e. UNLOCK) the power lock button
- you should now have enabled the auto unlock on exit withOUT the EVIC

At least these above steps are how my 2002 Chrysler 300M owners manual directs one to INTERFACE WITHOUT THE EVIC...no one on the other site was able to make this work on 2003 and newer vehicles but it is worth a try...

Try it and good luck.
