Alright, after a little back track searching through some old posts I found your black truck..
Yep, I like the Stock wheels W/O the center caps better.. But the wheels you have now still look really good.. Its win-win for me..
Mike- What size are those 2500 rims you're looking at, and where are you finding them? About how much are they?
I don't really care for the stock, chrome-clad rims on mine and I'm considering getting something else. I'd prefer an aluminum rim with a reasonable price.
I really like the newer factory wheels too. I was thinking about a set for mine before I got the new ones I have. I'd say go for it. I think they will look great. Sometimes newer factory rims look just right on a earlier vehicle. Like on my Cherokee with the 2013 Rubi wheels and tires I got.
Definitely! IMO, factory forged wheels are ALWAYS better than aftermarket Chinese cast wheels. But I personally prefer the earlier 5-spokes (like on the black truck) or power Wagon wheels (also forged) to the newer ones. But both look great!
Do what I do, buy the new rims, throw em on. Keep your old rims, if you don't like the new ones just swap and sell. I keep my old stuff until I'm sure I like the new stuff, then I sell.
I think larger dia wheel would look better but thats me. 17's on widers 35s just look fat so you'd be better staying with what you have. save a few bucks and run them until you need a new set then decide. I think a little lift in the back would look better anyway then different wheels.
I've been torn on wheels for a while, but I'm sticking with stock because I think the Power Wagon wheels are about the best there are for our trucks. If you can find some Power Wagon wheels I'd go that route.
There was a set of PW wheels on here.. but they were sold. The guy was only asking $200 for them. They looked brand new.
I know of a set of the wheels I want - they are powdercoated black.. but $600 price is a little too high for stock wheels. Rather go aftermarket for that price.
a little late to the debate here, but I remember seeing somewhere in the interwebz a Red Ram with the stockers, and they were powdercoated bronze. Looked pretty killer. I would go for the stockers like the black truck on the previous page has/had, but powdercoated either black or bronze. I'd post up the truck, but can't friggen find it now.
Found the truck I remembered. But they were bronze H2 wheels on a red Dodge. Still look friggen sweet though. Is it taboo to link to another forum? I can pm you the link if that's a more legit way to do it.
