Well the phone I'll be using till I get a new one isn't Bluetooth capable. But I'm thinking of getting a new truck and therefore might get a Bluetooth phone too. Just curious as to how well it works and also if it works through the head unit or what and if an aftermarket radio would still work with it.
I have it and use it everyday. It works well and is what better then wearing the little stupid thing on your ear. As for an aftermarket radio working with it I don't know. I'd stop by a local stereo installer store and ask them.
Whats wrong with the ear thing. I love my bluetooth ear piece for driving. I dont wear it around the general public but once I get in the Truck I put it on. Makes it a lot easier than having to fumble in my pocket for my phone.
Love my uconnect...except when I transition from truck to out of the truck. I also dont know how to not have a call come thru the uconnect when I'm in the truck...ie, I dont want the passengers hearing the convo. Guess I should RTFM.
There should be a setting on your phone to transfer it back. On mine all i have to do is push the bluetooth button on my screen and it transfers the convo back to the phone.
U Connect is absolutely great and beats wearing my bluetooth earpiece. One peev is the limited number of contact you can call (I believe 30 in English and 30 in another language). You do have to speak clearly and enunciate properly or you'll get a wrong number. This is a pain if you have deactivated the confirmation call feature. Also, I found that Uconnect has difficult time picking upthe correct vocie command when you have the wndows rolled down.
