Hey guys, as far as towing and horsepower what do you think I should run on my truck? It is straight piped, duals right from the cat, and runs 90* in front of the back passenger tire.
My truck is straight piped from the cat. (No muffler), what I'm asking is pretty much is there an exhaust run that will effect the performance of my truck.
no. less restriction is better. but your also going to hurt torque and likely hp gains by running straight pipe. with the cat on you likely have enough back pressure to not loose out. but your also not gaining anything leaving the stock cat in.
exhaust alone will yield you negligible results.
Less restriction will net more hp if you can spin the rpms. Modifying exhaust on a stock 150whp engine will not benefit you.
