Well, I just got back from the dealer. If ya all remember, I 1st brought the D in on it's last day of it's warranty cause when I punched it at 60/70 mph, it'd drop down to it's passing gear & stick there, hitting the rev limiter. It was also running rough & the RPM's were low at idle. They adjusted the trans & then at a 30 mph punch it'd happen. It was still running rough & the idle was low. So they decided on a new valve body. Finally, on the 2nd attempt, they replaced it. That was last Thursday, a total of 12 weeks or so of putzing around with this.
Anywho, it's still idling around 480, & rough. Also, the shifting just don't feel right, & the D's kinda sluggish now. They swore they didn't go near the PCM, so no Death Flash. They said they hooked it up to the machines, & everything is perfect. I asked if it was supposed to idle at 480 or 600, he said 600. I said then maybe my tach's off. NOT! He tried to blame it on my gas, I use Shell 87 octane. Then he said it was winter blend maybe. Then he tried to blame the plugs, said that the D's only run good on Champions, & cooler plugs are not good. He said to ask any MoPar tech.:flipa: Oh yeah, he said that the TPS was perfect too. :VHOT: I was waitin for him to try & blame the Fastman TB, the headers, & the CAI. :crazy::jmad:
Oh well, I'll try that tip out about the ac on & idling in reverse for 10 minutes or so. See if that brings up the idle. I'm gonna pull the plugs & check em out to see how they're doin. Hell, they only got 15K on em. I just love dealers. Now watch, when I get back on the breezeway, & punch it at 70, I'll be back at square 1.
