Hey, NoPavemntNoProb. Your 91 is HOT! I'd love to set up my 93 with that kind/size of tires/rims. Exactly what rims and tires are those? Where would I find something like that? Do you need to use spacers or anything special?

Thanks for the complement. Whats on the Truck in that picture is 33" All Terrain Tires with just a standard set of Aluminum Rims (15x8) I couldn't find any exactly like the ones on the truck now. All I did to make the 33's fit was put on a 3" body lift. You may be able to squeeze 33's on a stock but it would certainly be close and you may rub going around corners. As for the other 2 pictures I have down there, they are the new rims and tires i recently bought. I haven't gotten them put on yet because i need to put the 4.56's i have in my garage in the rears otherwise i wont go anywhere. The newer Rims are Pro Comp Series Xtreme Alloys 7189 (I think the black rims are really good looking!) The Tires you see there are the M16 Super Swampers. as for the fitting of those, I'm almost positive they'll pop right on there without having to do anything with spacers and what not. I bought the new Tires and rims at Tirepackage.com (they have the lowest prices most of the time and often have some kind of deal going on.) The tires on my truck now are Futura Dakota RVT. Any the Rims I got on craigslist for a really good price. ($200 for 4 that were just about spotless) One thing to keep in mind is that I have a w150 Power Ram as opposed to your d150 Power ram (not sure if you know the difference, but W is 4 wheel drive and D is 2 wheel drive)
Have fun and keep me posted as to what you decide to do

Thanks for the info. Yea, I meant for my 93 W250. I think what you have would work great other than I need 8 bolt wheels. Thanks again! I'll be hunting for this stuff once the truck is in service...some time before that happens actually. I just think the 93 4x4 looks a bit awkward with the stock tire size.

I hope all you guys know you make me sick. All this beautiful truck shown on these pages and mine still looks like crap. But that is ok I will have mine looking good before long to show off with the rest of the trucks here.

While IMO, Dodge trucks look GREAT, there is so much more to a Dodge than looks, unlike perhaps some other brands. These things know how to WORK HARD. Everyone has their own priorities and having a truck that looks great is a perfectly valid priority. For me, my truck has to take whatever I throw at it and these old Dodges do that in spades!

Having said that I could hardly stop looking at the pics of that black 1 ton dually. Man, that's a beauty! Part of the beauty of that one though, IMO, is that you just know that it's a BEAST too!

Brad your 92 was in need of radiation treatments wasn't it? Joking. What are your plans for it?

Heh! Yea, the 92 has, at worst, bad driver's floor, bad driver's side cab mount and bad rockers. It does have some rust on the top of the wheel openings too but that's not a huge issue for a "workin truck". My plan is to weld in the floor, mount and rockers and take it for certification. The truck is actually in nice shape mechanically. Folks in some warmer climates may feel this is a fruitless effort but if they feel that way deeply, they can pay the $1500 shipping it would cost to bring me a nice rust free southern truck. Otherwise, this is what I'm left with. Oh, it was CHEAP so that makes the effort more worth it. I expect it to be ready in the next 30 days.

Your truck looks sweet. I have a 4' lift on my '91.
I'm curious about the body lift on yours. I have '91 and was thinking about a body lift. What, if any problems did you run into? Did you have any issues with linkage or radiator shroud lining up? What did you do about the bumpers did the kit come with the brackets to fix them?

Old Dodge was a '91 with 6" lift, 38s, and a nice 360

Brad I don't think it is fruitless to do the repairs. Trust me just because I am from the south doesn't mean we don't have rust issues. In Tn it is the humidity that causes the rust. as soon as a scratch gets on one the humidity starts taking its toll. Not as fast as salt does mind ya but still plenty bad enough. Works trucks are worth doing the minor stuff like you mentioned and not worry about the rest. Northern vehicles may rust early But ya gotta love those northern drive trains. About 20 or so yrs ago when we had a vehicle that needed a new engine we would buy a rusty donor from up north. Low miles but rusty and darn cheap. We got lots of vehicles from Ohio, Illinois, Michigan. We paid little to nothing for them.

Thanks Muddweiser4x4, The only issues i believe would have been the steering column/shaft. you'll need about a 1" spacer if you go with 3 inches of body. as for the radiator and bumpers they stayed with their respective mounting points. the radiator is a little higher than the fan now but not enough to worry about, and the bumpers are 3 inches lower now but with a total of seven inches plus soon to be 37's on there I won't have any problems with it where it is. I hit a deer where i live with my Jeep YJ with a push bar welded to my front bumper and didn't get a scratch on her. Anyways my point is I want the bumper to be able to hit whatever is in front of me. I don't want it to just hit my axels and do whatever from there. Any my back bumper... well... I don't have one I have a roll pan instead. I think it looks pretty good. Minus the 2 tears in it from pulling some jack@$$ out of a mud pit. Being that I didn't install the lift myself (got it with it) I can only tell you what I've seen on mine. I've done a lot of work to my truck and have only noticed those few things that i mentioned above. I know its pretty easy to install though. I don't even think you'll have to worry about extending brake lines or anything just make sure you have a little bit of play at the master cylinder to bend downward. Good Luck and if you have any other questions just ask... I'm on here a lot

Dan
