I personally have an 04 (non MDS) and had platinum 4's in for a couple of years. The truck seemed to run better but when I went to change out the plugs all of the platinum was gone!!! Where did all of that metal go?
I have met others with the same exact truck who said the platinum plugs made the truck run really bad.
I am now running champion coppers because after 12 years of owning the truck I know it is likes them.
From what I have heard all of the hemi's are peculiar about plugs whether they are MDS or not.
You can try them like I did but my advice is stick with what came in the truck. I have some NGK 5306's gap set and ready for my next change which is probably going to be in about 6 months. I know sometimes factory is NGK and sometimes Champion. Mine came with Champion RE14mcc4
Our trucks fall into the same group (02-08) where a lot of parts are listed as the same so I thought I would throw in my 2 cents!
Thanks,

Use the Champions, I put those fancy Bosch Split Fires or Quad fires or whatever they want to call them and the truck ran this crap, just did not like the plugs. Put a new set of Champions in her and runs like a top!

My 1 cent......

Personal choice. There have been mixed reviews when it comes to using anything other than the oem spec coppers (i.e. platinum, iridium). Only way to find out is to put'em and see. Unfortunately that's the expensive option (at 16 plugs).

agree, it's personal preference...I've tried plats and iridiums before but th coppers seem to be the most reliable ones. I swear by NGK 5306s/4306s on my 05 with over 306k miles on the block...

it's runnin good...however, as I grow older my depth perception is goin bad as I seem to like to back into things...arrgg... 1 thing i noticed and probably because it's cold in Cali at the moment, my truck seems to run really strong with a 180 tstat (was runnin 170 but lazy to swap out as weather got colder). Been busy with so much other stuff that I need to get back to do maintenance on it and swap in new control arms and bj's when I get a chance (front end squeakin alot lately)... hows your truck runnin man!

Good, I just rebuilt the front end on it, upgraded the sway bar. I need to get going on a few things but the Charger has been demanding my attention.

Both my Hemis are on their second set of NGK 5306s. The 300 actually showed a marked mileage improvement. The truck showed an improvement, but not so noticeable. I've bought many Champion plugs, but never bought a good one.
