Ok so I have another post called hot plugs in dealing with a possible blown intake gasket. This thread is about modifying the tps on a stock tb. In searching for a new tb, I came across an article on modifying the tps in .1 volt increments. I am wondering has anyone done this and does it work with a stock tb or not?

Modification is drilling out the plastic sleeves and then rotating it to increase or decrease voltage.

If you have what results have you seen?

There are posts about doing the mod for after market tb's but you shouldn't have to do anything with the stock one. Resetting/(memory dump) the pcm will "learn" the tps. The mod is because some of the aftermarket tb's don't let the tps rest at the correct voltage and causes idle issues. You can do a search and find the posts on the subject.
