seems last thread went dead and was locked, from the replies i bought the monroe reflex shocks and for the most part there ok. but as a daily driver it's a little ruff riding. anyone else have some in put on a different one to try? 2wd, stock ride hight, no towing etc... QC hemi. thanks
The Monroe Gas Magnums did well on my 2nd gen 2500. I plan on doing them again on the 3rd gen 2500.
The Gas Magnums gave a good ride. Not harsh, not tooooo stiff, not loosie goosie either.
BTW, I'm amazed at how many people are pro/con on certain shocks here. BUT, nobody actually understands that the TIRES and SHOCKS work hand and hand. Thus, a load-E tire and a stiff shock will get you a rough ride. A load-D tire and a soft shock will give you white knuckles trying to keep the truck on the road. Also, the type of tread and tire design for off-road vs. M/S vs. LT tires all play a BIG factor on how shocks feel and people evaluate them.
