So I have a 2005 magnum R/T 5.7L with 135,000 miles. I would like to know if it is worth putting money into performance parts with this many miles? I have heard these motors are bullet proof and can be modified with any amount of miles.
Yes, as long as the foundation is good (long block) you can do almost anything to them. There's a guy on here who ran his nitrous'd 5.7 in his 12sec 05 Ram til about 256,000 miles til he had to rebuild it (excuse to stroke it out to a 392). My 03 has 150,000 and continues to be modded as well as my 06 Charger R/T with 170,000.
