$300 sounds like a solid deal. My friend was quoted $800 to powder coat four wheels for his Jeep. If only I could powder coat my 20 inch chrome clads...

Just the furnace? Make sure you are getting a 95% or higher efficiency furnace.

Shots....1 last photo shop request, body colored center on the wheels with a gloss black lip. Had this idea last night, really curious how it might look.

Whole system replacement. I live in the south and have a heat pump and air handler unit combo. The new system qualifies for both the federal and state efficiency rebates, so my monthly electric bill should be much lower... I also won't have to pay $33+ per pound of the old-style refrigerant, should the need arise.

Yep, the new R-410a refrigerant is somewhat cheap in comparison to R-22 or R-11. Heat pumps are awesome, I wish I could get a system like that for my house but up here it's not cost effective. Is it geothermal or water source?

Neither, just a standard electric air source heat pump (never dips below the teens on the coldest of night in South Carolina). If I lived up north I'd have a furnace, instead.

Hmm..interesting. The only reason I ask is because I work for a large commercial/industrial HVAC company. We deal with heat pumps here and there, never seen the electric versions though. What brand is it?

Yeah, no problem. So what you're wondering is color match what is currently black, and black what is currently chrome/polished?

It is a Lennox XP14-042 heat pump with CBX27UH-042 air handler.

Here is the link to the heat pump.

Here is the link to the air handler.

This may have exceeded my ability for PS. I can't seem to get the right color/contrast when changing black to grey. Something like this though...

Thanks for doing that. I think my gut was right, that just doesn't look right, too much color matching starts to take away from the "rugged" look. I'll stick with the all black option.
