Ok, so the wife backed the truck into a tree. the rear bumper needs to be replaced. i have Hemi but it came with single exhaust ( i got the ram boxes instead of the big horn) anyway, so since i got to spend the money to replace the bumper should i go ahead and switch out the exhaust to dual?? here are my questions:
1) go with OEM or after market?
2) idea of costs?
3) would need to get the bumper with dual cut outs, but does aftermarket fit this?
4) I have the lifetime bumper to bumper warranty- I assume this should not affect anything. I was thinking about getting a competitive price quote from my ocal Dodge dealer- they have been very competitive on maintance work and i like them.

maybe the wife did my a favor....LOL Any input is appreciated.

2009 dodge ram 2WD crew cab with Hemi and ramboxes. 54,000 miles. drives like it did when it was brand new.

A good service adviser should work with you. When my wife was hit in her car, i got them to fix some other dings on the other side and i paid the difference.

bumper will swap.

OEMs are best, but aftermarket may fit nice too. Hard to say on those.

After, go to the muffler shop and let 'em have some fun.

I would finalize the divorce before I fixed the truck.

Just kidding, I would definitely go with the cut-out bumper. You can't beat the look.

damn, $350 for a bumper? Was it painted or just primed? My rear bumper has been F'd up for about 6 months but I was quoted $900 for the bumper (duals).

Mine has a very small dent in it, I think it's cocked due to the crush brackets holding the bumper on being bent.

It was chrome, don't remember off hand how much the primed ones were. You can also check ebay don't think that they were much more expensive for painted

I got rear ended when I had 1200 miles on the truck. New bumper (no brackets) from the dealer was MSRP of like 350. Not bad. (duals too).

Please report back on this. I'd love to find a mineral grey one to go on my outdoorsman. Hate it they used a single out exhaust on this package.

I have a buddy who manages a body shop, not sure who his supplier is.
I will pass it along when I find out.
