Didn't buy it yet.
Still not sure if i want to go with the BullyDog or I-1000DCX with Hemifever tuning.

Already have the K&N intake and magnaflow muffler. Maybe headers down the road, but that's far from happening soon.
Can you shut off the MDS with the BullyDog?

Yes you can shut mds off with the bullydog. I just recently decided that I'm adding headers to my truck this summer and will be fine with the bullydog. To get the most out of your truck a custom tune would benefit you the most. I'd add a 87mm throttle body to your list if you plan on headers down the road. I felt almost the same gain in power with the 87mm as I did with the regular tune with the bullydog. From what I've heard about the DiabloSports canned tunes the gain was probably about the same gain as ds regular tune.
