Hey guys, I did a search on this site about these OIl catch cans, and i am not findng much about these. I was wondering if anyone had these installed on there trucks. I saw the Diablo has one listed for 2009+ Hemi trucks. If anyone has this installed on their truck can you send me a picture exactly where it goes installed? Thanks for the help.

Comes with 2 hoses and there is 2 bolt holes on the engine block by a freeze plug, you will use the top hole.

Install Z bracket on the lowest hole.
Purchase an extra 1/2" barb fitting from lowes/home depot. (Billet tech ships with one already.) Leave rubber adapters on the pcv system. Install hoses on to them via the two barb splice connectors. When you run the hoses to the can, cross them. So that the hose from the rear of the engine goes to the forward most connect on the catch can. This is the best install method with low tension and wide curves for hoses. Both ports can be used as inlets or outlets. On 5.7 rams there is no need to have the hose bent all over the place like that. |

How does it work? It catches the oil? Do you have to replace anything, does it take filters?

The Billet Technologies catchcan use a stainless steel mesh similar to collect and strain the oil from the PCV. No replacing anything, just unscrew the bottom, empty, and reinstall the bottom.

Like the guys have said, this is 1 of those must have mods for the 4th gens. Just yesterday I installed an 87mm ported throttle body on a customers truck that had 40k miles on it. The back of the blade was completely black....you couldnt see any metal because it had so much junk built up on it.

My throttle and intake look like the day it rolled off the showroom floor because I installed mine with last than 1000 miles on the odometer. It really is a must do.

I will throw one more model into the thread; haven't seen it mentioned yet. I bought the Moroso "Air Oil Separator" (Part #85479). It uses a stainless mesh filter like the Billet described above, but has a quick drain valve on the bottom with a brass valve. Could not believe the amount of oil that came out of it after about 6,000 miles. Definitely glad that was not "recycled" back into the engine.
