Quad old and new has same size bed I believe so top and bed rug should swap right in

I knew they were the same length, but I didn't know that stuff would swap out. I've got a friend who switched from a 2nd gen to 3rd gen, and tried to swap his tonneau out, but couldn't because the bed was just slightly different. I just figured they'd do the same thing with these, so I let the BedRug go with the truck. The cap, on the other hand I still have. I just need to lift this thing up and make it more rugged before putting that on. I'm afraid it will look old manish with a cap at it's current height. However that is good info to have, because I've still got my Extang SolidFold tonneau that will be going on in the meantime.

Well I'm not the best with PS, but here's a quick chop with the cap. Not as bad as I was expecting being stock height.

Speaking of adding stuff. I was thinking about adding the Outdoorsman decal on the bed like the '11 had (they use a chrome one on the tailgate now). I looked online, but couldn't really find anything. Anyone know where I can get them for less than $42 each?

That looks alright. Does it have the rear defector to keep dirt and water off the rear glass of the cap?

No. Where do I get one of those because for the short time I had it on my truck I noticed it is immediately covered in snow.

Drop PCP a note via a PM and ask him if he has Mid-Size SUV that has one. The width and lines should be about the same since everybody copies each other aero-packages. The ones from the Jeep GC or GM Trailblazer should work great. I put a factory one on my '99 GC and it made a big difference in the amount of dirt getting on the rear window, as well as, the dirt sucked inside while I was driving dirt roads.

go talk to your salesman, they may let you get the stuff off it, (figuring better service to you on this one will lead to repeat business.) (if they still have the truck) worst they can do is say no

How many miles were on your '07 and what trim level was it? $18k sounds pretty good for a trade-in.

I was offered $15k for mine (with 23k on it at the time) early last year, by one of my customers. I said thanks but no thanks.

Really do like the color on your new one. Very good choice.

I thought $18K sounded pretty good too. KBB had it listed for trade at $17K, and private party around $20K, so I got a little better than average trade, but not quite private party price. I had 45,000 miles on it. It was a SLT/BigHorn. 5.7L, 6 disc Infinity radio, with tow package.

My old Extang Solidfold tonneau fits just fine, so I assume that means the cap will too. Thing is since I had it listed I've got an offer for a trade with an aluminum roll top tonneau, which is what I originally wanted (even before the Solidfold). He's going to come tomorrow to check out the cap and let me test fit the tonneau. Anyone know if it will fit? How close to the same size are these beds?

Well we measured my bed, and compared to the measurements of his bed. They seem to be pretty darn close. The new bed has about 3/8" less taper front to back, but the cover has enough adjustment to allow for closer to 1" of variation. So long story short we traded. He took the cap, and now I've got a canister tonneau.
I don't have it on the truck yet, since it got a bit dark/cold. I'm taking my truck in tomorrow for some touch ups of things I was picky about upon delivery. Things like a door ding that they claim will be removed without drilling, paint, etc, there were a few paint flaws being touched up too. So when I get it back I'll put the cover on and post some pics.
Till then here's the pics the guy had of it on his truck. He sent me these when he asked about the trade.

Not sure of the brand, but the whole cover is black anodized aluminum.

Well after a little searching (both on the cover components and online) I've found it. It is a BAK Rollbak cover.

Truck will be back to me Thursday. I guess they're going to actually repaint the flawed areas not just touch them up and apparently that takes a day or two. I'm not complaining, they offered a free loaner if I needed it (which I declined, but hey at least they offered). The rep said that the paint will carry lifetime warranty on defects/fading after the repair. I guess I should have taken a few before pictures but too late now I already dropped the truck off.

Well the temps were nice and high and along with the rain it melted most of the snow. So since I wasn't walking in knee deep snow, and it was about 50* I put the new cover on.
It fits great. I'm a little curious to see how it functions when it's covered in snow/ice. But so far I'm happy with it. Not a bad deal for an even trade for the cap.
