When I was buying mine I was asked about color preference and I stated white with minimal glare. They look well built and not cheap at all. Hopefully I can get them installed before Xmas.

I love em. It was an excellent mod I should have done earlier. I think these 5000k are the perfect color choice. Its definitely brighter with the snow magnifying it from the fog lights down low, but I wouldn't say its glaring. That picture was a little blury cause I was moving. Thanks again Chad!

I got my 5five 5000k kit installed today in my morimoto projectors. Had to take the old junk wiring off and install the new pretty wiring. It was super easy. I had only one issue. One wire out of the 2 wires going to the resistor harness on the drivers side was installed wrong on the oem lamp connector. One resistor hot wire was in with the high beam wire and the other resistors + wire was in with the ground when it should have been in with the low beam wire. But After installing it all I was confused to why it wasn't working correctly (low beams flashing with engine running) because it was plug-n-play and my old kit was working right before. After realizing the + wire coming from the resistor was on the ground I knew exactly what was wrong. After swapping the wire it works like a charm.

ImageUploadedByTapatalk1355610420.241959.jpg
This is what I had. The black (resistor +) wire in the middle should have been with the brown(low beam +) wire.

Overall this kit is very nice, looks like a quality kit. Not sure on performance but I'm sure it's a 10. I'll test that out tonight.
Thanks for all your help Chad.

I'll get some pics up later tonight too.

Hi Chad,
I decided to get myself an Christmas present and I just started looking for a HID kit. I came across your thread and joined DT today. So, I am gathering prices for the full setup.

Darn, my first post is going to cost me "well spent mula!"

From this thread, I did not see a current count; so I am guessing you have not sold 50 kits yet. I am looking at the combo package - headlights + fogs. I will be ordering the 35W kit, 5000k (color - bright white?). How much is the headlight + fog package?

Also, I am interested in the 'projector retrofit'. You mention '...starting at $195' - what will make the cost increase?
Oh what the heck, do you have Halo's for this setup?

Aside from shipping, what is the normal turn-around time for the 'projector retrofit'?

Any issues with installing the retrofit and/or HIDs on the diesel truck?

Looking forward to plug-n-play HIDs

Thx, Stan

Gidday...

Is the group buy still a go? If so, could I get some info from ya?

- I've got Spyder projector headlights (spyderauto.com/product.php?id=PRO-YD-DR09-HL-BK&t=Dodge-Ram-1500-09-12-Non-Quad-Headlights-Halo-LED-Replaceable-LEDs-Projector-Headlights-Black) which indicate they need H1 for the lows and HB3 for the highs. Does this mean I'll need 2 sets of ballasts for the highs and lows?
- If I get something for the fog lights, is this yet another set of ballasts?

I'm also in Canada and the land of the DRL, so I assume that I'd want to go with the 35W kit...?

Would I go with that for both lows and highs and the fogs? Or can/should I mix and match them?

And the bonus question! What am I looking at for the components? And for for the full kit?

Thanks in advance!

Yes, there are still 11 kits available at this pricing.

You will receive 1 pair of ballasts for every kit you purchase. 2 kits (low beam and fogs) = 4 ballasts.

I would not recommend high beam HIDs, due to the warm-up time it takes to get your high beams up to operating temp (around 3-5 seconds). HIDs and high beams do not go together, unless you have a bi-xenon setup.

Yes, you can go with 35w in the low beams, and 50w in the fogs. You can mix and match wattage and color temperature. If you drive in a lot of inclimate weather, i would recommend 5000k in the low beams, and 3000k in the fogs. If you want them to match, i'd go with 35w 5000k in the low beams and 50w 5000k in the fogs.

When you order the low beam kit, you'll receive the bulbs, ballasts, wiring harness, and mounting hardware. When you order the fog lights, you'll receive just the bulbs and ballasts, no wiring harness is needed.

Thanks bud... The info is much appreciated...

Hopefully one last q for you... Are there any issues running this kit in an aftermarket projector headlight?

If not, can I get you to shoot me the details on full cost (with shipping to Canada, if it's not a flat fee, I'll shoot over my Postal Code) for the 35w 5000k lows in an H1 bulb? And since it's New Years, can you also let me know how much for the fogs (they are currently stock bulbs) in the same 35w 5000k?

Thanks!

If i plan on doing or getting a retrofit in the future would I be better of getting the needed bulb for the retro fit? Or will the 9006 work for it? If you want to shoot me a price for the retro fit on 07 ram go for it. Thanks
