DC Corporate wants my truck?

Has anyone else received a phone call from DC Corporate inquiring about your 5.9 cummins? I got a call a while back from someone at, trying to remember now, but I think it was DC Corporate (it wasn't my local dealer) asking if I still had my 2006, 5.9l cummins. I was told that they are looking for trucks like mine to put back on their lots because they are very popular, and are hard to keep on the lots. He also told me that they are fetching above book value on them, and they would like to have my truck, and to get me into a new truck on a trade in. I pretty much laughed at him, and told him that I would prefer to keep my truck for the same reasons as to why they can't keep them on the lots, but for fun, told him if he could get me into the same truck with the same miles, manual trans, and mega cab for a swap, then he might have a deal. He then told me that if I had 20 minutes or so, then he would see what he could find out for me. Told him I didn't have the time, but thanks for the call. Kinda seemed a little fishy, but he knew everything about my truck, including mileage, and my last service.

Has anyone else had a similar call?

It was a marketing company hired by YOUR dealer. Known scam to get you onto the dealership floor.

bingo.

Scam.....had that feeling. what a waste of money by the dealerships. I wouldn't part with this truck for a new one, and I'm sure most 5.9 owners feel the same.

Definitely was not Chrysler Corporate office. I agree with others that it sounds like a dealer call or mailer.

Ah but is it a waste of money? They had you nibbling at the hook but you wised up... Just think how many people actually bit the hook and went in.

I received a letter saying that they wanted my 2011 back, but it wasn't from the so-called "corporate".

Strange call tho.

I get those letters in the mail every couple months. Now I know what the envelope looks like, so they go straight to the trash.

DC corporate, as in Daimler Chrysler?

If they somebody tried to pose as Daimler Chrysler I would hang up immediately.

DC Corporate as in Dumb Consumer.

Its a dealer trying to get your truck they kept doing it to me until I told them I was one of them lol
