It's up and running, but I'm still trying to get it dialed in. I have made about 100 pounds of scrap metal, and broke the plasma torch. The learning curve is not an easy one. I have jumped in with both feet. And am learning alot. I have spent about 5-6 hours a day messing with it. And things are coming much easier. But I have only figured out about 20% of it so there is a bunch more to learn yet. I figure I'll be comfortable with it in a few more weeks. I wanna hold off on making anything untill I know I can do it without too much waste. The drawing program I have is not geared towards mechanical drawing, as it does not provide a way to make detailed measurements, at least as far as I can tell. But it may just be something I have not figured out yet. Time will tell.

Trail and error is not a failure. What school kid hasn't heard the words of Thomas Edison when he reply to the Times Reporter question about all his failures? I heard it over and over.
"I have not failed 700 times. I have not failed once. I have succeeded in proving that those 700 ways will not work. When I have eliminated the ways that will not work, I will find the way that will work." ![]()

Noone ever said failure. I personally don't know what failure is. I don't fail, I make mistakes on the way to success.

Yeah man. It's great. I made a set of house numbers for a gift tonight it is 4 numbers and 7 letters. I did it twice. One for each side of the mailbox. Just because I can.
Took an hour from idea to a complete sign. Now I just gotta paint it after I get some flap disks tomorrow.

It's still in the works, it's just been put on the back burner. Now that winter has come to the desert, it's race season. Between my day job, family racing, and cutting steel for people, it's busy. Hopefully come summer, things slow down and I can start it. Better yet, I just need a day to become 30 hours long instead of the measly 24 we have now. That would help.

Sold my ram. But I'm still interested in the outcome. Might be enough to make me buy a cheap 1500 again
