I could use some help. I had a problem with one of my freeze plugs leaking. I fixed it checked all the other freeze plugs, they were good. I am no longer leaking, I did put more antifreeze in the truck. The heater hoses are warm going to and from the heater core. I have a 190 thermostat. I checked the oil to see if I had an issue with a head gasket, nothing. The heater blower turns on but I have no heat its just blowing cold air. Need some ideas what controls the inside temperature switch?

Not real knowledgable on this but you might have an air pocket in the heater core. Or is it possible the heater circulator door is stuck? Just throwing some idea out there.

Not sure on the 95. But, the 01 has an electric motor that operates blend door. It has a plastic asdaptor that connects motor to blend door. It is a fairly common failure item. It can be changed from inside the cab. Just takes a short right angle Phillips screwdriver. And, a little time standing on your head. Its on the passenger side, bottom of heater box. I've had to change the adaptor. And, the motor itself. If you search the forums. You should be able to find pretty detailed instructions. And, pictures. That's how I learned how to change mine.

As others have said most likely a blend door issue, either bad actuator or broken door. If not that could have a partially plugged heater core, it's not to common to only be partially plugged but it has happened.
