Kewlness. How's the Avenger doing after 10 days of break-in?

I have a 2011 200 V6, excellent car but I'm hoping to swap it out on a Charger sometime in the next year or so.

Hey Dodgefan, how are you liking your Avenger so far? Just brought home a 200 Touring with that motor myself and am blown away by how strong it runs!

I recently bought a 2012 Avenger R/T also. 1200 miles on her so far.Not getting close to 30 mpg. Took it on vacation after 297 interstate miles it got 25 mpg. I drive 7 miles of country 4 lane to work and average 20 mpg on a weekly basis.

I've been getting mid to high teens out of my 200 on E-85 for the normal driving I do, which includes too damn many stop lights. Dad and I drove it from the Chicago burbs to Road America and back this weekend and the figured average was 20mpg (which included the drive from the station to the house) and I had the EVIC up to 22, don't know what the figured mileage for the drive home was, but the EVIC had us up to 24.8mpg by the time we got back home........and has plumeted to 21mpg since then. Considering it was drinking whiskey there and back, had two overweight men using the A/C in it, spent more than enough time idling and driving through hilly stretches of road, and didn't even have 3k on it till we got back in Illinois, I'm not going to complain yet.

Aw, Biscuits!

Sounds like u had fun Bjoe. I don't trust the EVIC, figures are too optimistic. Both my 08 Dak and our ol Jeep has an interface too. The dash generally shows fuel economy 2-3 mpgs more than dividing the miles by the gallons at the pump does. However our cars are new as you pointed out. Yet my 01 escort Zx2 got 32 mpg outta the box. Est. Fuel Eco was 26-33 for the scort.

Thanks, we did. Dad and I took it in for it's first oil chance and to top it off at the E-85 selling station by the dealer, mileage average was 20.44mpg and the EVIC was reading 19.99 by the time I got it back from the dealer and to the station. That also includes two trips through drive throughs (excessively long ones at that.....), some errand running with the ac cranked, a couple trips to work, one of which included stopping by the store's bank (using a path that probably has 30 stoplights) then running to the gym afterwards, having the oil change done (first one was free ) prior to filling it back up.......plus E-85 doesn't get the mileage gas does.

Aw, Biscuits!
