Added a cap to my system

I added a 2 farad cap to my system last night not sure if its the placebo effect but my my bass is hitting harder I actually have to retune my headunit here a few pics, this week I have new rca's coming for my tweeters so when they come in I will clean up my wires. I also made a little plate for my usb cord let me know what yall think

I won't go into my opinions about capacitors lol. If its working for you then that's good! How much did you pay for it if you don't mind me asking?

I would do that next for sure. You should notice better gains just from doing the big 3!
14.2 is his voltage at the battery while the truck was running I'm assuming

Basically upgrading your wires under the hood with a bigger gauge wire. Weedahoe made this video

I am going to do the big 3 and add a another battery, the more power I push to this amp the better it works

Hell ya! He can paint it colormatch black to match the truck too

My painter said he would color match it for 20-30 bucks

caps are ok for smaller stereo systems but be careful with them if you are pushing your system I had a cap in my car pushing almost 2k watts(not peak) and blew the cap.

The cap I have is good for up to a 2000 watt system my amp is rated to be a 300 watt, but if you hear my system it sounds like a 800-1000 watt amp

I have heard alot of neg comments on cap,caps are and essential part of a system,there a storage device for rapid displacement of power which a car battery has a problem doing..in short a cap can displace energy rapidly,hence the tighter bass and sound quality getting a lil better.and then the cap get charged slowly from the battery..this seems to help with the lights dimming,kinda like a quick rigged fix but helps,i never heard about the big three but now this mod will be done as soon as i find a place to mount the battery and keep my volant,i might do a mini battery like the one i had in my evo and eclispe from buschur racing.its have the size of a reg battery and still has like 600 cca..

yep a cap is a band aid on the system and car audio stores eat them up.
if you have problems with lights dimming then you need a biiger alt and upgraded wiring. I say this for those who put in a high power system use a wire as thick as 0 awg but never upgrade the 6 to 8 awg battery alt cables!

I use to be real big in car audio, you know the bigger and louder the better, now I'm just happy with my 800 watt amp on 2 600 rms subs
