Please post back what you find. I stumbled across this thread yesterday and went looking for the part. No one local has it in stock. I was told several parts were needed. The total parts cost I was quoted was around $70. Just not sure it is worth that to me.

Also need the o-ring and 3 bolts that go with it.

Thanks!

Jeremy
pricing looks like it will run 44.94 for all you need to do this job, plus freight , Joel
I didn't order it yet, I read that some trucks don't have the 3 holes for the adapter to bolt up in to. Not verified!

the angled adapter is used on Commander 5.7L engines and on 2500 and 3500 hemis. You guys really think that one is a PITA, Try changing the filter on a new Liberty/Nitro, you guys would be trading in your vehicles. Get some brake clean and shoot off the rack when you are done. /thread.

I wonder if there's any issues with it for the 08 and newer trucks since they changed the thread pattern and such for us 08 3rd gen folks. I can't recall but I think my truck may also already have the adapter in it from the factory. When I get a chance I'll go back out and peak under the hood.

Same here, 'cept I use an old washer fluid bottle.

Well, in that case I know I have one on mine. I remember seeing what looked like a spout drain under the oil filter last time I was under it. I haven't actually changed the oil myself yet but I'm coming close to my 30K so in a few more months my 30K service contract will be up and I'll be doing everything myself from then on.
