If you are looking for parts for a 1500 Mega Hemi everything for a 2500 Hemi Mega will work. Dodge decided to offer the Mega in a 1500 version but put it on the 2500 chassis because the 1/2 ton chassis couldn't handle the weight. By offering it in the 1500 series with a slightly softer suspension it allowed them to include it in their longer warranty programs that weren't available for the Heavy Duty series trucks. It also allow customers to take advantage of any special incentives that were being offered for the 1500 series. All in all it was a great idea for the customer who wanted the heavier duty truck with the huge cab but didn't plan on towing huge trailers with it.

Other than certain parts like exhaust systems and nerf bars everything that will fit a QC 2500 Hemi will work on a MC 1500 Hemi and everything that will fit a MC 2500 Hemi will work without a doubt.

It's stuff like the exhaust system like you mentioned that makes it such a PITA to look for things and be absolutely certain they will work. I was looking through a (I think) JEGs catalog once and wanted to get an idea on the price of headers and such for my truck and everything that was listed there for the 15 and 2500's had the exclusion on it to the side (except Megacab). I started feeling like the unwanted illegitimate red headed step child and I don't think I'd even owned the truck for 1000 miles yet.
