Hey guys. I just ordered my 09 a couple weeks ago. I used to hang out in the 2nd gen forums, but I wrecked that one, and then deployed, so I'm not in here as much anymore.

The truck is a 1500 SLT, not sure of the exact package, I just picked what I wanted added, tow group and such. It's 4wd and yellow.

Does anyone know what the exhaust setup might be? Dual or whatever? I'm also wondering what you can change with the exhaust w/o voiding the warranty. The first thing I want to do when I get back is make it louder, and then the intake, and then at least 3 inches of lift. Do these trucks sit lower in the front end like previous generations?

Sorry I don't know much about the 09's, I had an 01 last, and I feel like I'm going to have to learn this truck all over again. The hemi will be nice, but I think I might miss the more simple 360 after a while.

By the way, I was ordering a 2500, but I missed the order cut-off date by 3 days, so I would have had to go with the '10, and that was almost 11k more than the 09. So I happily went with a Hemi.

well if you got a hemi then i believe you will have dual exhaust from the factory and yes you can alter the exhaust with out voiding the warrany. i would stick with cat back just to be safe though.

You won't miss that 360 a bit. I dumped thousands into mine and it was only slightly faster than an 09 bone stock. I think I read that the sport package and the big horn/lonestar package come with dual exhaust. I'm not 100% though. I do know that there are Hemi's with single out. Hopefully they crank back up and you get yours soon.

All Hemis are dual exaust if it isnt a trx4. You can add the exaust and CAI without any warranty problems. The new trucks sit level front and rear, but the front is at the same height as the previous gens, they lowered the rear a lot (for fuel milage).

Thanks for serving.

Not true. Only the Big Horn/Lonestar SLTs, Sports, and Laramies have the dual exhaust. The regular SLTs and STs have the single exhaust.

huh thats odd cause i have yet to see a regular exhaust hemi on the 09's. i guess it just isnt popular. and i probably havent been paying much attention to the ST's. but yea you can get a cai and a dual exhaust for the 09 thru mopar parts. now mind you the cai was in the accessories catalog from dodge so im not 100% on the mopar cai.

You are aware that if it isn't built yet it will most likely not ever be built? At least as an 09.

The guy running low 14's (v488???) has a Hemi that came with single exhaust.

Currently most trucks you see have the Big Horn package so they have the dual exhaust. One dealer I went to had a number of non-Big Horn SLT units that had single exhaust.

As far as doing modifications that will be up to Obama and Fiat to decide what they will still cover. Chrysler has nothing to do with the products it built anymore. I am sure any warranty issues will be a nightmare. That is why I have my own extended warranty. I am not saying it was a mistake to buy a Ram, but don't expect the status que for warranty service. Heck, they only have 30 days worth of parts right now.

If youordered a truck talk with the dealer today to see if you can get back any deposit. The dealer may not be there next week. The truck more than likely will not be built any time soon and it will not be built by what we have known to be Chrysler. I am guessing if they do start the wheels turning again it will be in the fall.

I did, but to get a new one would have been 10k more, and I couldn't find any 2nd gens around ND, and I couldn't pass up the deal here. It's tax free with extra military discounts and stuff. And if the price goes down between now and when I pick up the truck from the dealer in the states, I get the difference back. Same thing if any new rebates come out that are worth more than the 3000 dollar one out right now. I couldn't pass it up. I got the whole thing for 28k. The SLT was actually cheaper than the base truck, the st or whatever, by a couple grand. And hopefully, with chrysler having trouble, the price will go down some. Not that I'm happy dodge is hurting, but if it benefits me, well.....

And I guess it doesn't matter what exhaust it comes with, as long as I can make it louder. A lot louder.

Ok, I've missed a lot, there's not really a cnn in afghaniland. Did they stop production completely? I thought the factories were still going, and Fiat was just take over the reigns. If they aren't building trucks right now, you think they will be back up by September? That's when mine is supposed to be delivered to the dealer, Sep 14th. The people I bought it from is aafes car sales, it's a military store. They didn't say anything about the truck not being built, I actually had to decide early if I wanted it or not, because there was a cutoff date to order it. That's why I didn't get the 2500, I missed the cutoff to order. Either way, if Something happens, and I can't get it, I can get back every cent that I put into it. I can put it into something else, or just bank it. I'd still need a truck though, I love her jeep, but it's too small for me to use daily. Knees on the steering wheel sucks.

Yellow is the bestest color ever.

I would have ordered a Yellow ram, but I could not pass up the deal I got on mine which I would not have got on a ordered one. I did look high and low for one though. Tics me off I could not get a Yellow Ram to match my Yellow Jeep.

Ok well they are more level when compaired to 3rd Gen. I can't tell a difference between 4x4 and 4x2 when I look at the new gen. On 3rd Gens I can tell a difference.
