Does anyone know if the 4th gen "key/fob" uses batteries? And if so, how does it come apart to get to the battery?

I'm having trouble with one remote key/fob. The wifes works fine, but she rarely uses it, mine is used several times a day and now it's intermitten if will or will not lock-unlock the doors.

I figured I'd start with the cheapest/easiest solution and do the battery if it has one before heading to the echanted land of the Dealer.

Thanks

I bought the batteries at Wal-Mart - two for $3.97.

The battery is the CR2032. Just pop the key fob apart, replace the battery and snap it back together. No re-programming required or anything.

Yep - that's what it was.

Just like Jerry and buckmann said, pulled the emergency key and pryed open the two halfs of the fob.

Ran to WalMart and sure enough the CR2032 fit like it was meant to be (Thanks TRX).

I did pull the circuit board out of the rubber pocket and cleaned the contacts on the back of the board (small copper rings that look like targets).

Again, thanks all.

A pencil eraser works good for cleaning the contacts.
