Does anyone know if the 4th gen "key/fob" uses batteries? And if so, how does it come apart to get to the battery?
I'm having trouble with one remote key/fob. The wifes works fine, but she rarely uses it, mine is used several times a day and now it's intermitten if will or will not lock-unlock the doors.
I figured I'd start with the cheapest/easiest solution and do the battery if it has one before heading to the echanted land of the Dealer.
doesn't hurt to rough up the battery on the negative side either. that seems to have helped a lot of people on here to get better results with fob operation.
A pencil eraser works good for cleaning the contacts.
