stock. I got 15 fairly regularly...If I kept my foot out of it( read not very likely) I could get 17-18. Same thing, 97 SLT laramie 4x4 stock stock stock...woulda been so nice not to havea truck payment!! Although now I have an off road QC with the 360 but 4 more years of payments...
I have the NV5600 in my Diesel and love it. BTW www.advanceadapters.com makes just about any adapter hardware for atlas transfer cases and NP and NVG transmissions. Good site for motor and tranny swaps. You will notice that most the other brand x trucks use DODGE components, dont that piss you off! :rck:
What's even worse is they CHARGE you if you want it put back to stock so you can use it on a Dodge!
"Advance Adapters just received a supply of NV4500's. These units are brand new and covered by a full 12 month warranty. These are dodge 29 spline units that have been fitted with a GM style input shaft and Advance Adapters modified retainer. We then sweetened the deal by fitting the transmission with a heavy duty cast iron tail housing. If it is a stock Dodge Standard or HD unit you are looking for we will set one up for an additional $150, this cost will cover labor, new bearing retainer, input shaft, and any re-shimming that is necessary."
HEADERS! And freer flowing intake. Search for chizzle's post on his edelbrock Air Hat. I like the Mopar performance one on I think it's silverram's better though.
318 with a ebay intake here... THe low end (2999 rpm and below) is kinda slow on acceleration, but the top end(3000 & up rpm) is SWEET!
comparing this engine to the 4.7, i'd say the 4.7 is probably the "faster" one... MY dad has a 2002 ram with the 4.7 ima get some pictures this weekend
Ive got the 360 in my 2001 with 85,000 miles and my dads 1997, with the 318 , has nearly 200,000 miles. Enough can't be said about how the motor performs. This truck is used on the farm daily. He pulls NH3 tanks, seed wagons and 1000 gallon water tanks and the motor never shows any sign of giving up. Only problems we've ever had out of it are: needed new waterpump, rebuild tranny(130,000 miles), and a new radiator. The only mods done to it are 175(i think) thermostat and Flowmaster 40s.
Thanks for the introduction honey haha. i need to get different gears or put the stock size tires back on it to make it quicker. i gotta get in and outta those muddy jobsites
