i was involved in a head on collison on monday. two lane road with concrete barriers. when a large beverage company truck grabbed my right front quarter panel and hit me head on. that truck was over 15 k pounds vs the 5100 pnds of the hemi. that cab inside is what saved my life. i have been in a hospital for 5days. major trauma to my left arm it shattered. blew my elbow out it was somewhere in the cab. still have a long road ahead and still not out of the wood yet for my arm. i will not tell anyone what company hit me because of the outcome this will become. i will have more pictures this week when i go out to see the truck on monday.

i am proud i was in a ram it saved my life by far. i will be in a 4 th gen soon very soon:thatfunny

Holy Smokes! That is a nasty one!

Very sorry to see this, and hear about your injuries. I can only hope all goes well for you with healing, settling this with the offending party, and getting the new truck of your choice!

Was your K9 in the truck also?

Wow! Im sorry to hear about that but glad you are alive. Like i always say, your truck can be replaced your life can not. Sorry to hear about your arm also again just glad you are "ok" amd breathing. Dont take less then you deserve and it will all work out in the end. And yes was your dog in the truck? And is he/she ok?

Man, take it easy. Do not settle until you are back to 100%. Get a lawyer now. Let them deal with the insurance as you need rest, and do not need the stress right now.

Amen! ceramictec, I'm so glad you weren't more seriously injured. Indeed, give yourself the opportunity to get healthy again; don't be in a hurry here. Added you to my prayer list...

I hate to see any of our trucks torn-up but I love how they have saved the lives of a number of members, including me! The truck can be replaced; lives cannot. Please keep us posted how you're doing, OK?

:)

Take it easy. Glad you are ok. Don't post too much on here and get a lawyer for sure. Glad you were not in a 'hybrid'... cause the outcome wouldn't be the same.

X2! Let us know how you're doing from time-to-time but remember this is an open public forum. It's happen in the past that someone you wouldn't think would be online was reading and watch without posting.

Yes indeed, you are one sore dude, but so bless to still be among the living. I agree with everything said above, and looking forward to hearing your physical updates as well as seeing you made whole again - monetarily. Don't push yourself to hard, healing of this nature takes time. Nothing but the best to you...

Speedy recovery brother! Glad to see your able to surf DT still, it might help in some way to pass the time on your road to recovery. Trucks can be replaced!

#17 ·
Glad to hear you will be ok after that crash. Get well soon and like others have said, this is an open forum don't post a lot or nothing at all until your ordeal is done and over.

Get well soon, from a fellow K-9 Officer.

Damn! Glad you're in all terms "ok" and still here with us!

If I saw that truck in the junk yard I would for sure think the driver died. Glad to hear your ok!

went out today to get belongings out. finally home from hospital. trying to up load some more pictures

I hope all your stuff was still in the truck. When my sister's car was mushed years ago, by the time we got out to her place, got her checked out at the hospital, etc., etc., it was 3 days later by the time we got to the yard for her car. She was missing several items, fortunately nothing too expensive. By sheer luck, though, we found her glasses INSIDE the driver's door, in-between the glass and the broken interior panel! Barely a scratch on 'em, too! :)

These trucks are really something, as far as survivability in a crash, sorry to hear about the arm though, best of luck, stay in touch.

#25 ·
Glad your doing okay! Wishing a speedy recovery
