Hey, what is the difference between a 05083285AA Mopar filter that I had purchased for my 02 cummins and the one on the recommended filter list for my 04.5. It is calling for a 05016547AC. What is the difference?

Thanks for any input.

Thunder

I don't know about the Mopar filters, sorry. I bought the Fleetguard LF16035 Stratopore filter at the local Cummins shop for $12.

Thanks Blue. I noticed that the filter that you purchased isn't even on their list of recommended fleetguard filters. They have a LF3894 Fleetguard Stratopore. O'well. I will just call the dealer this morning.

Thanks

Fleetguard is a division of Cummins so the filter is approved, it's fairly new.

LF3894 is for the 1989-2002 trucks. LF16035 is for the 03-04 trucks. Look at this link http://www.intermountain.cummins.com/na/pages/en/distributors/slc/whatweoffer/products/dodgeram/parts.cfm

Wait... So what is the difference between those two Mopar filters?? This thread is asking exactly what I was looking for but it doesn't have an answer. Someone please tell me quick, I'm bidding on a 12 pack of Mopar 05083285AA on ebay w/ 1 day left and I need to know whether I should retract my bid or not... Mainly I want the Fleetguard Stratopore and I thought the Mopar 05083285AA is the same filter with a different label.
